Job Title: Commercial Driver License Instructor
Classification: Faculty Full-time
Pay Range:$66,016 – $75,918 /year
Hours: Monday – Thursday from 12:00 – 9:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Two years recent driving experience in a vehicle representative of the type of driver training provided
3. Possess a valid Class A CDLÌý
Note – The State of Utah does not have requirements for a vocational instructor

Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Instruct and supervise students (high school and adult), review prior learning, and evaluate performance
2. Teach effectively using a competency-based curriculum
3. Maintain a productive and safe learning environment consistent with 91ÌìÌà policy
4. Identify and maintain equipment and supplies as required to support continuous instruction; requesting, purchasing, and maintain equipment and supplies as appropriate
5. Orients new students to classroom facilities, technology, and program/classroom performance and behavior expectations, procedures and safety
6. Addresses and resolves issues affecting student success, coordinating with Student Services when appropriate.
7. Coordinate with Staff and other instructors to ensure courses meet program, student, and employer needs
8. Cooperatively develop and implement competency-based curriculum that meets industry standards
9. Maintain student records verifying and reporting competency certificates, and timely tracking and reporting of attendance, progress and grades
10. Promotes job readiness, encourages professionalism and good work habits and assists with helping students find work-based learning opportunities, related employment and/or continued education
11. Works to meet College program and accreditation standards and requirements including completion, placement, licensure, membership hours, headcount, certificates awarded and retention (graduate completers)
12. Builds and maintains relationships with industry partners, developing and participating with the program Occupational Advisory Committee
13. Document the coordination and interactions with major industry partners and works with College management to cultivate new industry partnerships
14. Assist with the development and monitoring of a budget
15. Coordinate with staff for the development of appropriate advertising, brochures, flyers, catalog information, etc.
16. Participates in marketing and recruitment for program
17. Assist in the articulation process between the 91ÌìÌà program and programs at other educational institutions
18. Maintain program certification requirements as appropriate to accreditation, department of education, state compliance regulations, and
pathway requirements
19. Other duties as assigned
